In my second year as a carpentry student, we had to design an cabinet inspired by the Carlton Cabinet from the memphis group. I got inspired by the sharp points and irregular forms and wanted to test myself by coping this characteristic.

For me the most pointed object I could thing of was a star. That become my starting point and from there on I transformed the shape to fit a drawer and make the whole design functional. Because of the dimension changes the corners become real sharp and difficult to make. It was the ultimate test and decided to go with it.

It was a project where you had to think 10 steps a head but it worked out good.
