Eames LCW Chair

In my third year as an carpentry student we got the assignment to make a replica of a famous design chair.

Without a second thought I choose the classic Eames LCW plywood chair. A beautiful unique design that was the first of its kind. With all its difficulties and the need for special machines school was the best place to take on this project.

From drawing everything out on the computer to actually making the chair, all had to be done in 8 weeks.

See the pictures down to follow the highlights of the process!
